I hope you had such a very merry Christmas! Ours turned out to be a mix of good low-key relaxing at home mixed in with hosting a few wonderful visitors. Our kids were up bright and early around 7 am. All of the gifts received were a huge hit. Cece received roller blades from Santa, Rosie got a Baby Alive, and Ares got a trampoline. Everyone examined and played with their gifts all morning. Cece also spent nearly the entire day roller blading in the basement and said she still felt like she was gliding, even when she was walking. I got a photo of the three kids plus the Christmas tree in the frame and Joe got various pairs of socks that he was longing for. So, I’m calling it a successful Christmas morning.
The best part of the day was that in the afternoon we had some surprise visitors; Joe’s parents, his sister Rachel, and then my brother Mike and his girlfriend Kenzie. It was the first time we’ve ever had guests over on Christmas day! The kids (and the dog) were thrilled to see their favorite people as was I.
(I now have a picture of all 3 kids in the little tikes car with the Christmas tree on top officially… I took this one of Ares right before his nap time on Christmas. He’s only smiling because I gave him a cookie first.)
As for today, my kiddos and I are off to Chicago! Send good-travel wishes, please!
I sure hope you had a lovely holiday! Will see you in the new year!
