Family Photos 2020

(Of all this photos, I think this one I think is my favorite)

I am so thrilled with how our family photos turned out this year. My dear friend Tricia shot these for us at Willow River Company just before Thanksgiving. Though it was a mini session, we still were able to get such a lovely variety of family photos plus extra pics of Archer for his first birthday. Outdoor family pics (with a big family) in the cold is NO small feat and I will definitely display and treasure these images for a long time!

From the bottom of my heart, I want to wish everyone the most wonderful Christmas. It honestly takes my breath away when I think of all the different ways we were changed and challenged this year. I don’t know specifically what you went through in 2020 but I know it was a lot more than you bargained for. And you’re still here. And you deserve to sit down, stop rushing and wishing and just take some time for rest. And enjoy some twinkly lights with some hot chocolate.

What warms my heart this holiday season is the incredible kindness, creativity, and generosity of people throughout 2020 and especially this holiday, even as they struggled themselves. The support I received from my own friends and family was absolutely remarkable as I navigated, hands down, the hardest year of my life. But ironically, I also feel like I was given so much this year and I want to figure out a way to intentionally redistribute that love back out in the world.

2021 is going to be about refocusing and rebuilding, staying positive, and being realistic. Easier said than done, but I truly believe I have the faith, friends, support and resources to do so. And then I’m going to pay it forward.

Merry, merry Christmas from my family to yours!
